KOMP Launches a New Brake Valve Production Line
Wuhu, Anhui, China — Wuhu Compass Auto Parts Technology Co., Ltd. (KOMP), a manufacturer and exporter of automotive brake cylinder and clutch cylinder, announces a new dedicated brake valve production line. Beyond hydraulic brake cylinders, clutch cylinders and boosters, KOMP enters the pneumatic air brake segment with four valve families: the Protection Valve, Unloader Valve, Control Valve and Foot Valve. The expansion strengthens KOMP's one-stop supply for commercial trucks, buses and trailers, meeting global aftermarket demand for reliable, cost-effective air brake parts.

From Hydraulic Cylinders to Air Brake Valves
For over two decades, KOMP has specialized in precision brake master cylinders, wheel cylinders, clutch master cylinders and clutch slave cylinders for cars, light trucks, heavy trucks, buses and forklifts. The factory runs a 16,000-square-meter workshop with over twenty CNC machining centers, four assembly lines and ten-plus technicians, producing over 600,000 units annually for partners in over one hundred countries.
The new line marks a deliberate step into air brake systems. Trucks, buses and trailers rely on compressed-air circuits to transmit braking force over long distances and multiple axles; each valve regulates pressure, protects reservoirs and turns pedal movement into braking. In-house production lets KOMP offer a fuller brake-system portfolio from one supplier, simplifying sourcing, inventory and after-sales support.
Four New Valves for the Air Brake Circuit
The launch covers the core valves of a commercial vehicle air brake system:
Protection Valve (Multi-Circuit Protection Valve): Distributes compressed air between separate brake circuits and protects the system when one circuit leaks, keeping remaining circuits pressurized for emergency braking in multi-circuit setups.
Unloader Valve: Works with the air compressor to maintain stable pressure, unloading after the preset cut-out point and reloading below cut-in, protecting dryers, reservoirs and downstream valves from overpressure.
Control Valve:Manages pneumatic signals between the pedal, relay valves and trailer control lines, transmitting the braking command with fast response and consistent output to keep braking balanced across tractor and trailer.
Foot Valve (Foot Brake Valve / Treadle Valve):Mounted at the pedal assembly, it translates foot pressure and travel into proportional air delivery to brake chambers, giving the driver progressive brake-force control; its response and wear resistance determine pedal feel and braking safety.
These valves match common European, American, Japanese and Korean truck and bus platforms, with OE-equivalent mounting dimensions, ports and pressure ranges. KOMP supports cross-reference by original equipment number, helping importers identify replacements quickly.
Quality Built Around Safety-Critical Components
Brake valves are safety parts: a sealing defect, pressure drop or internal fault can compromise loaded-vehicle braking. The new line follows the same quality system as KOMP's hydraulic products, operating under IATF 16949 standards from incoming materials to finished goods.
Production covers valve-body machining, assembly of seals, springs, pistons and internal parts, air tightness testing, pressure checks, endurance cycling and final inspection. Every batch passes pressure, leakage and functional tests before packaging, reducing air leaks, slow pressure buildup and spongy pedals. The new range carries KOMP's standard one-year or 30,000-kilometer warranty.
Serving Growing Commercial Vehicle Markets
Demand for commercial air brake parts expands with freight networks, bus fleets and trailers. Fleet renewal and aging-truck maintenance sustain aftermarket consumption in South America, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, Russia and Eastern Europe, where buyers seek durable, compatible parts at competitive wholesale prices. KOMP already exports hydraulic brake and clutch parts to these regions and others; the new line deepens these partnerships and opens repair channels.
Popular valves are stocked for sample and trial orders; non-standard items can be developed from drawings or samples. KOMP also supports private labeling, laser engraving and tailored packaging.
Looking Ahead
The valve line marks another milestone in KOMP's move from specialist cylinder maker to broader brake-system supplier. In coming months, the team plans to add relay valves, trailer control valves, load-sensing valves, quick release valves and hand brake valves for fuller air brake coverage.
KOMP invites distributors, wholesalers, fleet suppliers and repair chains to request catalogs, OE cross-reference lists, factory visits or sample orders. With mature manufacturing, certified quality control, flexible customization and responsive service, KOMP aims to deliver dependable brake valves and complete brake-system solutions to partners worldwide.
